RESEARCH

My research examines the problems facing at-risk youth, with a particular emphasis on assessing various education programs and policies. While my work is clearly situated within the economics of education, my research attempts to address broader questions within labor and public economics, such as the role of incentives in shaping individual behavior and the unintended consequences of public policies. Along with education, I have studied issues and programs within housing, criminal justice and other policy areas.
