An initiative of the Survey Research Center at the Institute for Social Research and the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, the Youth Policy Lab advances the work of non-profits, agencies, policymakers and philanthropists by helping its partners make decisions based on best practices, applied research and real-time feedback on program impact. The group conducts rigorous quantitative research to inform policy focused on youth in the areas of education, health, juvenile justice and workforce development.

Established at the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy in 2012, the Education Policy Initiative brings together nationally-recognized education policy scholars focused on reducing socio-economic disparities through improvements in education and other policies affecting youth. EPI develops and disseminates evidence-based, policy-relevant research in partnership with local and state agencies, practitioners and policymakers. With deep expertise and a passion for directly engaging with decision-makers, EPI delivers groundbreaking answers to some of education’s most challenging questions.
